The Family Portrait Recreated

Pantene

Hair is powerful. Hair is transformative. Hair is identity. And just like hair, identities evolve over time.

Looking back at family photos, it’s obvious that what was once on-trend is now entirely off-brand, no longer representative of who we are (if it ever really was). For many, we can sift through these captured memories with a bit of distance, a fit of giggles and a mix of emotions. But for some communities, looking back at family photos is like remembering someone else entirely, someone unable to express themselves fully or feel true acceptance. Even at home – 44% of LGBTQIA+ persons feel they can’t come out as their authentic selves due to a lack of acceptance at home.
